Windsurfing in Lanzarote is incredible! Trade winds, year-round windsurfing, year-round sun, volcanic landscape, great equipment, fun vibrant destination....what more do you want...monkeys doing the hula?!?!?! No wonder it is considered by many as the best windsurfing in the Canary Islands, if not Europe.

Our windsurf school is located in 'Las Cucharas' on Lanzarote's east coast in Costa Teguise. Costa Teguise is a fun vibrant town, with great nightlife for those seeking the bars in the evening. You'll find the town is a mecca for windsurfers and scuba divers with a few families. Scroll down for photos and wind conditions.

The trade winds blow almost sideshore from the left from March to September . A protected bay makes the place secure and ideal for beginners. Our security boats and platform give you a rest whenever you have had enough. Windsuring in Lanzarote has been used for windsurfing for years. Our school was the first in the bay and has over 20 yrs experience. Need I say any more!

Windsurfing in Lanzarote is great for advanced surfers. Outside the bay, slightly on luv, there is a reefbreak where Wavefreaks and Free-riders will have a lot of fun. Advanced lessons are available for freestyle, jumping, jibing and loads more.

Wind Conditions:
Las Cucharas is a great year-round windsurf spot for all levels of abilities. The summer holds the strongest winds, ideal for those with more experience. Generally, there is more wind in the afternoon than the morning.

Facilities: There are changing rooms, showers, a 'El Niño' Surfshop and a sail repair in the centre. A Minibus for transfers and excursions for surfing, mountain biking or trekking.

Lanzarote has much more to offer than wind and waves. The unique volcanic landscape of the Fire Mountains, the wine area of La Geria or the impressive cliff and endless sand beach of Famara are just a few of its natural beauties.
